It's alright. The proprietor is not the most personable guy to deal with, but certainly the most comprehensive collection in the city when it comes to tiling. Staff's alright. As always, bigger pockets = better aervice. Probably best avoided for everyting else including stone. Again, bath fittings pricing is at par with the city, but i would rather have a more personalized experience elsewhere. There's little to no collection of marble flooring options - the store is geared around tiles and granite. This place won't particularly delight you, but it won't disappoint either. It's a relative thing - relative to the local competition, it's great. In some ways it's overpriced as well, specifically i am talking of the low volume options. I'm not completely confident that the staff understands the difference between porcelain and ceramic tiles, although they will quite confidently claim that they do. They don't have porcelain tiles, tbh. I'm not sure if porcelain tiles are even freely available in India. Frankly, there have only been two places in India where i can confidently recall seeing porcelain tiles installed. I am no expert either, so consider this as weak evidence. The options of course are not at the scale of a Delhi store but yes, it's the most extensive variety we've got here in Haldwani. Mosaic tiles, subway tiles, you'll find it all. Just be sure to bargain hard and hopefully do your pricing research and tile selection on a separate trip from the day you make your purchasing decisions. Also, if they tell you a tile is available on order and your quantity is large enough, it'll most likely be cheaper and faster to find a supplier on Indiamart. There is nothing particularly compelling about their service and return guarantees so it doesn't change anything, tbh. I'd consider buying from them again should the need arise but i'll definitely be a lot smarter about the deal the next time round. It'll be between buying from them or buying from Delhi, i probably won't consider another store in HDW. And this is specifically for tiles alone. For stone there are better places like Anand Marbles and Siddhi Vinayak Marbles. Anand Marbles is better to deal with, the one on Rampur Road anyway. Siddhi Vinayak can get you better variety, potentially. Anand Marbles will offer better pricing, i think.
